The longest TikTok videos are just a few minutes, but you still might want to fast forward or rewind them. TikTok has a progress bar so you can skip through them; however, it's not available for all videos.

For now, the feature appears mainly on longer videos, and it's not available to all users yet. That said, it can be helpful if you have the ability to use it.

If you don't have the feature, you may be able to download a TikTok video and fast forward or rewind it at your leisure offsite of TikTok's app.

1. Open TikTok and look for a white progress bar at the bottom of the video.

2. Tap the dot on the progress bar that looks like a white line and drag it forward or backward along the bar. Note that the updated location will be represented above the bar in the first timecode number.

3. Let go of the dot and you will have changed your location in the video.

If you can't fast forward or rewind in the TikTok app, you can skip around in a downloaded video, as long as a download option is available for the video.

2. Once downloaded, you can fast forward or rewind as you would any video saved on your phone. For example, on an iPhone, in the Photos app, you would grab the cursor in the bottom video bar and drag forward or backward.
